The human body is not made to sit still for long periods of time. With todays sedentary work, we want to make chairs that are adapted to the human body and that make it comfortable to sit for a long time. And to also make a difference in the long run, we design every chair to last, using durable materials, repairable components and circular design principles to help reduce its environmental impact over time.

BUILD TO LAST

Sustainability is an important part of our DNA. It permeates everything we do. All our products are based on principles for what we call circular design. This includes using fewer resources, fewer components and choosing recycled and recyclable materials. According to our life cycle assessments, around 90% of a product’s carbon footprint comes from the materials used.

PLASTIC

Plastic is a versatile material that can be shaped to meet a wide range of functional and ergonomic requirements. However, it also presents significant environmental challenges when not managed responsibly.

At Flokk, we have used recycled plastic in our products since 1995 and continue to increase its use wherever it meets our standards for quality, durability and performance.

ALUMINIUM

Lightweight, strong and highly durable, aluminium plays an important role in many Flokk products. It offers excellent performance while keeping products robust and easy to handle.

Wherever possible, Flokk uses aluminium with a high recycled content. Recycled aluminium requires significantly less energy to produce than primary aluminium. Wherever possible, Flokk uses aluminium with a high recycled content.

STEEL

Strong, durable and built to last, steel is an essential material in many Flokk products. Its long service life makes it well suited to furniture designed for years of everyday use.

Steel can be recycled repeatedly without losing its core properties. By increasing the use of recycled steel wherever possible, Flokk helps conserve natural resources and supports a more circular approach to manufacturing.

The RH Logic 200/220 - Ergonomics, quality and sustainability in one

The RH Logic 200/220 reflects RHs approach to ergonomic, long lasting design. Replaceable components make it possible to repair and refresh the chair over time, helping to extend its lifespan rather than replace it.

Original and replacement parts are recyclable and free from harmful substances. Below are examples of components that can be easily exchanged.

REFURBISHING

Our chairs are designed to last long and the parts can easily be repaired or replaced when they get worn out. The refurbishing is usually done on site, which is convenient for customers and also reduces the need for transportation.

DESIGNED FOR DISASSEMBLY

All our chairs are also designed for disassembly, which means that all components can be separated from each other and easily sorted out for recycling.
